What to expect.
Pre-visit prep
We send a brief questionnaire and lab orders a week in advance, so we can spend your visit talking, not paperwork.
The visit itself
60 minutes with your physician. Physical exam, review of medications, lifestyle conversation, and screening discussion.
Lab review
Results come back within a few days. Your physician personally reviews them and sends a plain-English summary.
Follow-up plan
If anything needs attention, we book a follow-up. If everything looks great, we see you next year.

What's the difference between an annual physical and a regular checkup?+
An annual physical is a comprehensive preventive visit covered by most insurance at 100%. We're focused on screening, prevention, and a full health review — not addressing acute issues. If you have specific concerns, we can address them in a separate visit.
Do I need to fast for blood work?+
Sometimes. We typically order fasting labs for adults checking cholesterol or blood sugar. We'll tell you exactly what to do when we send your pre-visit instructions.
How is this covered by insurance?+
Under the Affordable Care Act, all major insurance plans cover annual preventive visits at 100% with no copay. Discussion of new symptoms or chronic conditions during a preventive visit may generate a separate office visit charge — we'll always tell you in advance if that's the case.
